Who we are

Loop is a UK IT asset disposition service. We're the data controller for everything you submit through this site. Contact hello@loop-it.co.uk for anything to do with your data. ICO registration: pending.

What we collect

When you submit the quote form, we store: your email, your selected goal and volume, any free-text description you wrote, and (optionally) the photo you uploaded. We also record your browser's user-agent and referring page for diagnostics.

Why we collect it, and our legal basis

To reply to you with a quote. Under UK GDPR our lawful bases for processing are:

• Contract — to answer the request you've made of us.
• Legitimate interests — to improve Loop and prevent abuse of the form.

Who handles it

Every submission is read personally. To run the site we use two processors, both bound by standard data protection terms:

• Neon — Postgres database storing the form submission (EU region).
• Vercel — hosting plus blob storage for any photo you upload (EU region).

We don't share your data with anyone else — no third-party marketing tools, no data brokers, no ads.

Where it lives, and international transfers

Submission data and uploaded photos are stored on EU-region servers. Where a processor needs to move data outside the UK or EEA (for example for support or backups), it does so under the UK's adequacy regulations or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

Submissions travel over HTTPS. Access to the database and stored photos is restricted to Loop and the processors above. Photos are stored privately and served via short-lived signed URLs.

How long we keep it

Submissions are retained for 24 months so we can follow up if asked. After that they're deleted. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time — email hello@loop-it.co.ukand we'll action it within 30 days.

Cookies & analytics

On production deploys we use Vercel Analytics, which is cookie-free and doesn't track individuals. No advertising or third-party tracking scripts run on this site.

Your rights, and complaints

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we process it, or transfer it to another service. You can object to processing and withdraw any consent at any time. Email hello@loop-it.co.ukand we'll handle it within 30 days.

We don't make automated decisions about you. The AI quote we send is informational; a human reviews every submission before we follow up.

If you're not happy with how we've responded, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
